Job Description SummaryThe Steam & Gen Repairs & Upgrades Operations Manager is responsible for helping execute the Repairs & Upgrades strategy, ensuring understanding of our shop capabilities/capacity, emergent work, repairs forecasting process and tools to support our outages and customers demand. Collaborating daily with the ITR regions, Global Supply Chain, Repairs shop network, Product Sales, and Engineering teams. Participating in Lean initiatives, implementing continuous improvement projects, and creating/tracking of Standard Work processes. This position will report to the ST & Gen Repairs & Upgrades Operations Leader.Job DescriptionEssential Functions (Responsibilities)As the ST & Gen Repairs & Upgrades Operations Manager you will:Partner with the Repair Value Stream (RVS) (shops) & Materials Management networks (multimodal factories) and the pole ITR teams to execute action plans to increase our Win Rate, reduce COPQ, limit Days Lost Generation for our customers, and improve our Successful Outage Scorecard KPI. Collaboration on Steam Turbine and Generator Repairs & Upgrade products as part of achieving total customer value and winning solutions is also part of the strategy for ensuring growth in the segment. In collaboration with ITR teams, execute the strategy to participate in the available SAS of every Major and Minor outage (identify repair capacity gaps, scope optimization, quote optimization, identify potential Emergent Work, identify COPQ opportunities, define strategic inventory needed to support the repair network, etc.). For sites where Repair Sales support is not currently provided, this will entail a significant amount of coaching provided to the ITR teams to ensure the proper balance of onsite vs in shop Repairs are defined and planned for, Repairs/Upgrade scopes are identified, and proper Demands are entering into the SIOP forecast.
