Commercial Contracts Specialist - Legal Ops

h2 About the Role /h2 p We are hiring a strong Commercial Contracts Specialist /strong to be the first Legal Operations professional on VTEX's Commercial Contracts team. The team drafts, negotiates and manages every revenue-generating agreement VTEX signs worldwide: with clients and partners across our Commerce, CX and Ads Platforms in 40+ countries. /p p This is a builder role. You will design the processes, data and tools that make contracting at VTEX faster, simpler and smarter, and you will become the source of truth on what VTEX has agreed with each of its clients and partners. We already know some of the first projects (listed below), but the opportunity is much bigger than that list. We want someone who will find where legal operations can create value for the business, and go after it. /p p You will report to the Global Manager of Commercial Contracts, based in Brazil, and work closely with our growth teams (Sales, CX, Alliances, Renewals) and our back-office teams (Treasury, Billing, FP amp;A, Tax). /p p span style= text-decoration: underline; strong *For this position you are required to attend the office 4 days a week (Monday - Thursday), and remote work on Friday. /strong /span /p h2 br In this role, you will: /h2 ul li Own the database of the revenue-generating agreements VTEX holds in LATAM, North America, EMEA and APAC, making sure the data is complete, accurate and trusted across the company. /li li Build solutions to track key dates and obligations (expirations, pricing terms, SLAs, non-standard clauses) and to map contractual risk across the portfolio. /li li Turn contract data into reports, dashboards and insights that guide decisions in Sales, CX, Finance and leadership, and contribute to VTEX's growth strategy. /li li Make contracting faster and easier, driving processes and projects that reduce the team's SLA and the deal cycle. /li /ul ul li Manage continuous integration of contract workflows with our CRM, Slack, e-signature and other productivity tools. /li li Identify, implement and scale AI and automation solutions for intake, triage, review, data extraction and reporting. /li li Administer and evolve our contract lifecycle management (CLM) system, and train local teams to adopt it. /li li Support initiatives to facilitate product adherence through contracts, such as click-through terms and contracting embedded into the solutions offered by VTEX. /li /ul ul li Work hand in hand with growth and back-office teams so contract information reaches the people who need it, accurately and on time. /li li Define and report the team's operational metrics, such as volume, turnaround time, bottlenecks and non-standard terms. /li li Get involved in strategic cross-border projects in all regions where VTEX operates. /li /ul p nbsp; /p h2 Who you are /h2 ul li A bachelor's degree in Law, Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field. A Law degree is a plus. /li li 3 to 8 years of experience, including solid hands-on legal operations experience at a multinational company, managing contracts in multiple languages and jurisdictions. /li li style= font-weight: bold; strong You are available to work on site from Monday to Thursday in our offices in Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo. /strong /li li A track record of implementing legal tech, automation or efficiency solutions end to end, from diagnosing the problem to driving adoption. /li li Advanced or fluent Portuguese and English, written and spoken. Both will be assessed during the interview process. Advanced Spanish proficiency is a plus. /li li Hands-on experience with automation tools CRM platforms and AI agents. Experience with DocuSign and Hubspot are a plus. /li li Experience implementing or administering CLM platforms. /li li Strong data skills: comfortable structuring databases and building reports and dashboards, including AI literacy. /li li Ability to read commercial contracts and translate legal terms into structur
