Job Description SummaryThe Senior Commercial Risk Mitigation Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of risk processes during the commercial (Inquiry-to-Order) phase. This role serves as a subject matter expert for complex contract negotiations, risk reviews, and compliance-with a specialized focus on commercial and U.S. Government contracting. The incumbent drives rigorous risk assessment, contract redlining, and strategic engagement with internal and external stakeholders to ensure commercial intensity, policy adherence, and successful deal closure throughout the project lifecycle.This position does not manages others.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesGovernment Contracting & Compliance: Serve as the primary lead for the review, interpretation, and negotiation of U.S. Government-specific contract requirements. Ensure full compliance with FAR/DFARS, agency-specific provisions, flow-down requirements, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).Risk Mitigation & Contract Strategy: Lead the negotiation and redlining of complex commercial agreements (including MSAs, Teaming Agreements, MOUs, and NDAs). Analyze and mitigate legal, contractual, execution, and operational risks to ensure terms are executable and aligned with business objectives. Identify, develop, and recommend risk mitigation strategies.Regulatory & Security Oversight: Evaluate and manage complex compliance obligations, including Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, export controls, and government-mandated cybersecurity requirements.Risk Governance & Approval: Own the Risk Assessment Management (RAM) process.
