Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer

DescriptionLeidos is seeking a Senior Remediation Engineer to serve as a technical lead for a diverse portfolio of federal environmental remediation projects. The role will support CERCLA and RCRA investigations, feasibility studies/corrective measures studies, decision documents, remedial design/remedial action (RD/RA), long-term monitoring and operations, and environmental compliance activities. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and develop solutions to complex environmental remediation and regulatory challenges. This role regularly interfaces with Leidos leadership, program and project managers, and senior technical staff across multiple offices, as well as clients and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and the public. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder groups.This position may be performed remotely within the United States, subject to Leidos remote-work eligibility requirements, or based onsite in Reston, VA, or Twinsburg, OH.Primary Responsibilities:Define project requirements and technical objectives and lead multidisciplinary project teams.Direct and support development of project work plans and technical deliverables, including Project Management Plans (PMPs), Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs), Accident Prevention Plans (APPs), Health and Safety Plans (HASPs), Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study (RI/FS) reports and cost estimates, Proposed Plans (PPs), Records of Decision (RODs), remedial design packages (30%, 60%, 90%, and 100% submittals), Remedial Design/Remedial Action Work Plans (RD/RAWPs), and related technical documents.Develop exit strategies and solutions for complex technical and regulatory challenges.Support proposal development, including technical solutions, management approaches, risk mitigation strategies, a
