Riot’s Singapore Efficiency team builds the technology that lets our creative teams do their best work. In 3D, the path from a modeler’s idea to a game-ready asset is full of slow, technical steps such as cleanup, retopology, UVs, and LODs, and that is exactly where we focus our effort. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Machine Learning Engineer.
As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer, 3D, you’ll build tools that compress the tedious, technical parts of the 3D pipeline so modelers and environment artists can stay in the creative loop and produce great 3D work faster.
Responsibilities:
Build assistive 3D tooling, drawing on geometry methods, implicit representations (SDF/NeRF/Gaussian-splatting), neural rendering, and UV/texturing, to accelerate cleanup, retopology, and other technical steps in the artist’s workflow.
Partner with 3D modelers and environment artists to target the most expensive modeling, retopology, and texturing steps and ship tooling that shortens them.
Define and run evaluations for 3D results (geometric accuracy, topology quality, game-readiness) and quantify the time returned to artists.
