Global Design Leader - Plant Controls (Remote Eligible, U.S)

Job Description SummaryGlobal Design Leader - Plant Controls is responsible for leading extended scope controls engineering projects through kick-off, hardware design, software development, commissioning to commercial plant operation. The GDL will support the requisition, design, structuring, validation and commissioning control systems for GT, Bottoming Cycle (HRSG & ST) and Balance of Plant (BOP). This role, in addition to closely collaborating with our internal & external customers, is critical in driving a team culture of technical system & domain depth, contemporary leadership, on-time quality execution and a customer-focused mindset.Job DescriptionThe GDL will be responsible for multiple projects/programs with the overall goal to make the project successful. The GDL will compile the project level controls strategy, document requirements, lead the design and implementation of controls system projects, covering GT, Bottoming Cycle (HRSG & ST) and Balance of Plant (BOP). In addition, the GDL will:Demonstrate leadership by making independent decisions at the project levelOwn projects from ITO-COD for high risk complex projects as defined by internal risk review.Support ITO/ Proposal efforts.Work and Lead in an Agile software methodology.Support and influence product requirements definition.Lead globally and be accountable for overall Control System Requirements definition and management.Drive overall Architecture, top level design, verification, validation and commissioning requirements.Ensure adequate system function, performance, interface, reliability, maintainability and safety requirements, goals and margins are defined and managed.Support & influence comprehensive test plans for system verification and validation, new article and customer system Software Acceptance Tests (SwATs), site pre- operation, startup and commissioning.Coordinate flow down of internal and external customer requirements/ tasks.Partner with Project Managers to establ
