In this role you will, solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.#LI-ML2Job DescriptionESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESAs the Technical Application Engineer you will:Work with Sales, channels and customers on pre-sales and post-Sales technical efforts on Industrial Communications products (MDS and Lentronics)Develop and execute technical sales strategies relevant to market opportunitiesCommunicate individual customer requirements to Sales Manager in regards to designs and quotationsCommunicate requirements for order fulfillment to sourcing and operations teamsDirect the management of customer's with clear communication internally and externallyDocument competitors' activities and assess potential market movesReview and influence customer specifications to assure compliance and/or noted exceptions for development of equipment and service quotationsBe engaged with other Communications Sales Application Engineers, Sales Managers and immediate managerMake technical presentations to all levels of the customer's organizationDevelop engineering and installation work scopes, schedules and cost estimates to facilitate total scope project offeringsManage and negotiate commercial and contractual risk within the Inquiry to Order (ITO) processContribute positively to regional sales, orders, profitability, and ITO quality goalsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college and or equivalent years experienceMinimum of 3 years of experience in a Technical Engineering roleELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:Ability and willingness to travel up to 70%DESIRED CHARACTERISTICSCCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)CS (Computer Science)MIS (Management I
