Director, Strategic GrowthReports to: Senior Director, Strategic GrowthLocation: Tokyo, JapanRole PurposeThe Director, Strategic Growth plays a critical role within the Strategy function, leading the development and activation of priority growth strategies for the Operating Unit.Reporting to the Senior Director, this role translates enterprise and OU ambition into clear, actionable growth opportunities, supports strategic prioritization, and drives cross-functional alignment on where to play and how to win.The Director acts as a trusted strategic partner to senior business leaders-shaping choices, elevating strategic thinking, and enabling effective strategy-to-execution translation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead priority growth strategiesOwn and drive selected growth domains (e.g., category, channel, portfolio, whitespace, long-term bets).Translate macro trends, insights, and competitive intelligence into clear strategic implications and choices. Support strategic prioritization & choice-makingFrame and analyze strategic options, pressure-test assumptions, and provide recommendations on trade-offs.Ensure resource and capability alignment for the most critical growth opportunities. Support strategy execution disciplineMonitor progress of priority initiatives, track key milestones and KPIs, and identify risks and opportunities.Drive timely recommendations to accelerate, pivot, or reinforce actions. Partner cross-functionally for integrated planningCollaborate with Finance, Category, Channel, RGM, and Bottlers to convert strategy into targets, investments, and capability roadmaps.Support the annual business planning (ABP) and long-range planning (LRP) cycles.
