The Opportunity This hybrid role requires an individual to be in the office 3 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Phoenix, AZ Colorado Springs, CO, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.   As a dedicated Subrogation Specialist – Injury Demander, within defined guidelines and framework, you will provide specialized Auto claims service in the recovery of payments made to USAA members by legally pursuing through arbitration a third party that caused an insurance loss to the insured. The Subrogation Specialist may also defend through arbitration claims by other insurance carriers against USAA   What you'll do: Conduct claims investigations for moderate to high complexity cases by analyzing the facts surrounding a loss to reach a recovery conclusion, including recording statements, securing public records and analyzing report findings.Apply intermediate knowledge of P&C insurance industry products, services, and processes to include P&C insurance policy contracts and coverages, common law, contract law, state statutes, evidence and damages.Evaluate the recovery potential for personal auto/property claims and pursue recovery of damages utilizing appropriate recovery avenues.Effectively negotiate settlements wi
