Job Description SummaryManage assigned fluid commodity categories (valves, pumps, and heat exchangers) for the Gas Power business. Support development and execution of commodity strategies that meet or exceed GEV expectations and negotiate supplier contracts to achieve optimal terms while meeting project needs.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesManage all commercial aspects of supplier purchase orders for assigned commodities. Develop and execute supplier strategies to optimize Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.Identify suppliers for project quotes and lead negotiations.Allocate demand and ensure suppliers meet GEV requirements.Coordinate awards and purchase order placement with Engineering, Quality and Procurement.Manage purchase order changes and commercial claims related to delivery and quality.Build subject matter expertise in assigned commodities.Support process improvement initiatives.Resolve complex issues, build stakeholder alignment, and influence outcomes.Serve as a resource for less experienced team members.Use sound judgment, technical expertise, data analytics, and cross-functional input to support decisions.Required Qualifications5-7 years of experience in Strategic Procurement, Sourcing, Commodity Management, and/or Supply Chain ManagementAbility to develop sourcing strategies and negotiate contracts.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed - >10%Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelors in supply chain or related field of studyDesired CharacteristicsKnowledge of legal terms and contract negotiation.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Demonstrated problem-solving ability.Experience leading programs or projects.Strong project management and execution skills.Additional InformationGE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
