Project Overview: The Cheniere Sabine Pass Liquefaction (SPL) Project is a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export facility located along the Sabine River estuary on the southeastern coast of Cameron Parish, Louisiana. Bulk early work for Stage 1 began at the 1,000+ acre facility in August 2012 and by December 2022, Bechtel had successfully and safely turned over the final phase of Stage 4 to Cheniere. The SPL campus now consists of six operating Trains with an LNG production capacity of approximately 27 million tons per year (MTPA), 3 Jetty superstructures that can accommodate the world's largest vessels, and dozens of associated buildings and utilities.
