The Maps Experience team builds the backend services and technologies that power map-based experiences for millions of users across Uber's Rider and Earner applications. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, build, and scale high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems that serve map, location, and geospatial data, enabling critical experiences such as pickup and dropoff, airport wayfinding, and real-time map interactions. You'll tackle challenging engineering problems where performance, reliability, and scalability are essential, while driving architectural improvements and owning services end-to-end, from initial design to production operations.
