Intermediate Backend Engineer, Monitor: Platform Insights

An overview of this role The Platform Insights team vision will deliver a unified data event platform that allows users to query, visualize, and analyze their data in order to optimize their workflows within GitLab. We aim to create a consistent dashboard experience that makes it easy for users to ask the questions pertinent to their use cases and build rich team/use case specific views. The unified event platform will consume data from all stages so that users can monitor the health of their team, their processes, and their services all in a single pane of glass. We are looking for a Backend Engineer with a strong background in high-scale and data-rich Ruby on Rails applications, as well as familiarity with distributed, scalable and reliable systems.  Some examples of our projects:  Link to project or effort  What You’ll Do   Develop Ruby on Rails Backend components leveraging high-scale data pipelines Collaborate with Product Management and other stakeholders within Engineering (e.g. UX) to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment Craft code that meets standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment.
