Our Hardware team designs and builds the beautifully engineered payment devices and accessories that let millions of small merchants start, run and grow their businesses, spanning industrial design, electronics, embedded systems, mobile apps and backend services. As Senior Hardware Engineer, you'll shape the electrical architecture behind our next generation of products, including new designs built on modern Android platforms, giving you real influence over how SumUp's hardware portfolio takes shape from the very first schematic.</p> <h2>What you'll do</h2> <ul> <li> <p>Design and review electrical schematics, defining hardware architectures for new products</p> </li> <li> <p>Partner with Mechanical Engineering, Android and embedded software, Product and Supply Chain teams to align platform choices, interfaces and product integration</p> </li> <li> <p>Own hardware delivery from prototyping and bring up through validation and mass production readiness, debugging designs and reducing technical risk along the way</p> </li> <li> <p>Explore new design approaches and prototype untested concepts to work through tough technical challenges</p> </li> <li> <p>Lead technical workstreams and design reviews, coordinate implementation across cross functional teams, and mentor colleagues to share hardware engineering knowledge</p> </li> </ul> <h2>You'll be great for this role if…</h2> <ul> <li> <p>Significant experience in electrical engineering, gained in consumer electronics or hardware product development.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong knowledge across sever
