Working Student / Werkstudent — Applied AI - Software Engineering

The RoleYou’ll help build real products across the software lifecycle: understand the problem → design → implement → release → improve. You’ll take ownership of well-defined tasks and features, with guidance, code reviews, and feedback from experienced engineers.You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and design, and join customer conversations to understand requirements and share progress. Bring solid foundations, some hands-on experience, and the motivation to learn by building.What You’ll DoBuild with AI: use generative tools, work with our reusable components, and help test and evaluate AI-powered features.Contribute to engineering decisions: explore solutions, discuss trade-offs with the team, and implement practical approaches.Ship useful features: work with product and design to turn requirements into manageable tasks and working software.Work across the stack: contribute to services, APIs, data pipelines, and frontends, depending on your strengths and the project.Build with quality in mind: write maintainable code, test your changes, and help improve reliability and performance with support from the team.Collaborate with clients: join discussions, help clarify requirements, demo your work, and incorporate feedback alongside experienced teammates.Communicate clearly: document your work, ask questions early, and keep the team informed about progress and blockers.Required SkillsCurrently enrolled at a university, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Practical experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and some familiarity with Node.js and React/Next.js. Personal projects, coursework, internships, and open-source contributions all count.Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including how to structure and query data.Familiarity with Git, APIs, debugging,
