DescriptionLeidos is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) program to provide support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).50% travel to conduct on site surveys and reviews.The projects will range over the eastern part of the US.Candidate should live in the eastern part of the US. This position must provide the Atlanta, GA En Route Engineering Center assistance in Electrical Engineering design, planning, cost estimating, scheduling, engineering, coordination, contracting, installation, inspection, and acceptance of electrical systems/services as part of the Eastern Service Area (ESA) implementation of a wide variety of En Route programs and projects.Electrical Engineer Primary Responsibilities: Design and plan electrical systems for FAA buildings and structures, including power distribution and backup systemsDevelop, review, and manage project engineering documents, including AutoCAD drawings, specifications, and cost estimatesConduct on-site surveys and prepare detailed, scale designs and reportsCollaborate with engineering staff to resolve design or implementation issues and review contractor submittalsOversee project management tasks, including safety plans, communication, scheduling, and coordination with stakeholders and contractorsMonitor and update project progress, review risk management documents, and manage on-site cutovers and testing activitiesElectrical Engineer Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university and four years of relevant experience in commercial, industrial or government facility replacement and modernization design engineering OR two years of relevant experience with a Masters degree.
